I didn't remember it at first cause I've never listened to much Tears For Fears, but having listened to it now not only do I remember it, but it's going to be fantastic in the Punk style.

Hey y'all, just wanted to give a little update on how things are gonna go for a bit.
As you may remember, ya boy just finished hair school. The most exciting part of that is that I already have a job lined up in the hair field to go into, I just need to take my test.
The flip side of this is that I was mostly unemployed during school and, as such, my funds are in a bad place. Because of this, I have also picked up a part time third shift job. The hours at the barber shop and the hours at my third shift deal are actually perfect opposites, 10am to 6pm, and 10pm to 6am. Yes, this is a hellish schedule that I know is going to be exhausting. Only two days of work should overlap though, so I think I'll be safe
The effect of that here though, is that the quality of these posts will devolve even more than they are now, which I'm super sorry about. I'll try to write more in advance, but there's always a chance that I'll not do that because I'm not always the most organized when I'm tired.

Well I was originally searching for a song that made me think of the 80s, but now I got Elton John stuck in my head and it kinda switched course from what I had intended.
So I figured I'd go with some of my favorite Elton John songs, which honestly this one isn't exactly one of them. I like it, but the novelty of the chorus of Crocodile Rock really beats this one out really hard. And I mean, realistically, I'm sure none of you are surprised that I don't really listen to much of Elton's music.
The reason I chose this song though is I was really surprised to see a music video that had been shot in widescreen, especially since the song was released back in 71. No widescreen music videos back then. Turns out the video got released this year and is actually really cool. The colorization makes it look like a slightly older video, which is dope. Is a cool thing, I hope ya like it.

Nobody can argue that Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco is a fantastic musician with a rather impressive vocal range.
The only original member of the group, Brendon has decided to release material basically solo by recording most everything on the album. He's got some touring musicians but the album itself was written and performed almost exclusively by him, which is, in my opinion, a bit of a weird move. There was discussion before the album was released as to whether Brendon was going release it as his own solo project or as the 5th Panic! album. However on the day that the final original member announced he had left the group Mr Urie announced that the album "Death Of A Bachelor" would be the 5th Panic! album.
It's not a bad album and has a lot of good tracks, so if you liked them back in the day but stopped once the 2000s ended it's worth checking out again. Now please enjoy this rather interesting music video.
I remember hearing this song a lot a few years ago. On of the college stations nearby played the song a lot, and since my dad liked it I also heard it at home a lot.
Apparently Ganon's radio is a big deal or something. Like, I hear it's online and listened to all over the country? It's really weird to hear that, not gonna lie. Who would have thought that something from Erie would ever be a big deal, ya know? Well you might not know, but Erie isn't an amazing place. Not bad, but not great either.
Till the city turned to crap we used to be known as Gem City. Fun fact.
Back to the music though. It's a really catchy song though and even though I forgot it existed I do like it a lot.
So a group I'm with is doing a teaching series called "Friends" and at the beginning of each night the band plays this song.
It's a really nice version actually, they manage to avoid the 90s Pop Rock sound that the original has. That's not to say the original isn't good. If it wasn't I probably wouldn't be posting it, would I?
FYI, this was ready on time. It was just scheduled to go live at 5pm when I wrote it yesterday. My bad.
Speaking of songs everybody knows, how about this one? I think it'd be pretty hard to have missed this party song in your life since it's been played at almost every social event I've ever attended.
The video is hilarious though, you've got this high energy song going on with a band that looks like they're playing a funeral. Typical British stuff doncha know.
The first time I heard this band it was when a friend of mine who is a huge metal fan gave me a pile of music. We went through band by band for a little bit, but then he accidentally deselected all the stuff in iTunes (we were too dumb to just put it all in a playlist to copy later) so he asked me if I minded if he just gave me a pile of music. I told him that I didn't care, just so long as he thought I'd like it.
Well he gives me Impending Doom, Demon Hunter, and a pile of other similarly angry sounding bands, so I assumed these guys would be the same.
Nope.
Here we just have some fun pop rock. But you know what? It's all good, cause I like it a lot.

Sometimes I seek songs out, and sometimes other people just make me listen to stuff. This is the later.
You see, approximately each quarter my manager picks a new song to use as our theme song. First quarter was Uptown Funk, and this quarter is Sugar.
Eh, it could be worse, this song is a really catchy tune and Adam Levine can hit some seriously high notes.
Apparently they hit up a bunch of real weddings to film this. I'm 100% sure the first two were staged, but in my mind there's a possibility that the ending montage was real. If it was, that's kinda cool and if not it still makes a pretty cool video, right?
So this is a song that has haunted my mind recently.
I first heard it quite a few years ago and I liked it. I never really thought I'd hear it again though cause, you know, it's an old song.
Well lo and behold, this was one of the songs in How I Met Your Mother. You know what? I liked it then too. It's a kinda catchy song, and the way that they used it was perfect.
Then my friend played it at work.
For 7 hours.

Now you can all have it stuck in your head to, so screw you guys. (not really, please don't leave me.)
So funny thing about Train. The singer, Pat Monahan, used to live in my city. Yep, crazy.
He actually was in a band called Rogues Gallery that my dad ran sound for that my mom sang in from time to time. Don't believe me? I have a picture.

This is but one of my many tiny claims to fame. Ah who am I kidding, I wasn't even born for another 2 years after this was taken.
Fun fact, Pat used to be really good at singing Led Zeppelin and Guns N' Roses. So much so that the bands final set of the night was almost all Led Zeppelin songs.
