Capital Lights - Miracle Man

Another return to Capital lights, mostly because I like them.

The side project of Thousand Foot Krutch's singer, Capital lights are a group I've always given too little attention to.  I used to only listen to 1 or 2 of their songs, but there's no reason for this since all of their songs are just rather good.  I'd heavily advise listening to this album from start to finish, it's a blast.

Capital Lights - Outrage

Hey, it's a happy music!  Fear not, there's only one more song left from the throwback times filled with Hardcore music.  This is a fun song though, ya know?  It's all peppy and upbeat and mostly and to all of yuo guys most importantly, there's no screaming.

None at all.

I really had a great time with this run.  I might take a few days off before I actually get into the older throws, but for now this was a blast that I'm sure we can all agree was a totally good time.

For the longest time I didn't know anybody who had heard of these guys.  I'd say it was at least 3 years before I found somebody who had heard of them before actually.

Then I started at my current job.

One night I had my iPod playing and this song came on.  My new coworker Dan said "Hey, I love these guys, I didn't know anybody here listened to them!"  It was a fun moment cause I hadn't had anybody actually like the music I played yet.

About 2 weeks later the same song was on and my then coworker now friend Kelsey recognized it too.  Turns out I just had really musically sheltered friends cause later on Dan
s brother Brian joined us for a few months and Capital Lights was a band he played from time to time.

Capital Lights - Let The Little Lady Talk

The first time I heard this band it was when a friend of mine who is a huge metal fan gave me a pile of music.  We went through band by band for a little bit, but then he accidentally deselected all the stuff in iTunes (we were too dumb to just put it all in a playlist to copy later) so he asked me if I minded if he just gave me a pile of music.  I told him that I didn't care, just so long as he thought I'd like it.

Well he gives me Impending Doom, Demon Hunter, and a pile of other similarly angry sounding bands, so I assumed these guys would be the same.

Nope.

Here we just have some fun pop rock.  But you know what?  It's all good, cause I like it a lot.

Next time I post these guys I'll tell you another story.
