Imagine Dragons - Gold

Band:  Imagine Dragons
Song:  Gold
Album:  Smoke + Mirrors (2014)
Genre:  Indie Rock

I've been having an absolute blast throwing together a playlist for school.  I've been finding a bunch of songs I haven't heard in a while, in addition to some songs that I hadn't heard before.  It's been really cool especially with bands I'm not as familiar with.

Imagine Dragons for example, I had no clue I liked these guys as much as I did, but their old stuff here is just fantastic.  The off timing this song has is just dope, the chorus really rocks it in.

Imagine Dragons - Believer

Band:  Imagine Dragons
Song:  Believer
Album:  Evolve (2017)
Genre:  Indie Rock

My string of no internet continues strong!  It's been frustrating, but at least I have the fun of offline video games and hanging out with some cool peeps.  Mostly been playing boatloads of Terraria though, cause that's the bomb.

Here we've got another backup song because of it, so let's goooo

I heard this song last year when they were running that dope little thing with the music video challenge.  Or maybe it was early this year?  Can't really remember honestly and I don't care to research it.

Anyway though, they handed out a mountain of video footage and this song asking people to throw something together.  Having just obtained some access to Adobe's video software you'd better believe that I signed right up for that.  I didn't end up finishing at all, but that doesn't matter cause it was a blast to play around with.

Also the song is rather enjoyable too, so that's a double win, eh?

Imagine Dragons - Demons

Band:  Imagine Dragons
Genre:  Indie Rock

Way back in the day (like 4 years ago or whatever) when Imagine Dragons made their huge smash into the music scene I had a friend who loved them a lot.

Any time I was in her car I heard Radioactive, It's Time, On Top Of The World, and Demons.  Realistically it was mostly It's Time and Radioactive, but that's unimportant to the point I'm making.  The point is that it was honestly a really good album that I mostly enjoyed at the time.

Sheppard - Geronimo

Band:  Sheppard
Genre:  Indie Rock

You know what we need here?  Another song I know nothing about.

This is another song that we tossed on a playlist the other night and it really caught my ear while I was just listening to music to try and get some inspiration.  As with the other song it's really catchy and such, ya know?

This was released 2 years ago though so I'm sure everybody heard it ages ago and I'm just late to the parade, right?  I do this a lot, I don't suppose I should really be surprised anymore.  This is my own fault for listening to fringe music, ya know?  Heavier Metal stuff and hardcore Rap songs don't tend to make friends.  At least Rap has a wider fan base though, a lot more people have heard of Future than have heard of, say, Bloodbath.

Big Data - Dangerous

Artist:  Big Data feat. Joywave
Genre:  Indie Rock
Content:  Graphic Imagery

I'm really not too sure what's going on in this video.  I was hanging out with friends on Saturday and while we were playing cards we tossed together a quick playlist of stuff we all wanted to listen to.  Chelle suggested this song and I thought it was really catchy.  That bass thing?  Kinda cool.

Then I saw the video.  I'm really really not sure what's going on, but I do know it's weird.  I could probably figure it out if I wanted to, but I got home at 2:30 am Sunday and only slept for a couple hours so I'm gonna be sleeping as soon as this is done.

For context, my friends live in Cleveland and Erie is about 2 hours from there.  I had to play in church so sleeping in wasn't an option.  No matter though, it's been a great day so far and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

The Black Keys - Howlin' For You

Band:  The Black Keys
Genre:  Alternative Rock, Garage Rock, Indie Rock, something like that.  I don't know.

At band practice on Wednesday a friend of mine made mention of The Black Keys, which reminded me that I actually kinda enjoyed the songs of theirs that I've heard.

This is one you've probably already heard, but I'm still gonna make you listen to it now cause I feel like it.  Enjoy!
