Imagine Dragons - Gold

Band:  Imagine Dragons
Song:  Gold
Album:  Smoke + Mirrors (2014)
Genre:  Indie Rock

I've been having an absolute blast throwing together a playlist for school.  I've been finding a bunch of songs I haven't heard in a while, in addition to some songs that I hadn't heard before.  It's been really cool especially with bands I'm not as familiar with.

Imagine Dragons for example, I had no clue I liked these guys as much as I did, but their old stuff here is just fantastic.  The off timing this song has is just dope, the chorus really rocks it in.

Imagine Dragons - Believer

Band:  Imagine Dragons
Song:  Believer
Album:  Evolve (2017)
Genre:  Indie Rock

My string of no internet continues strong!  It's been frustrating, but at least I have the fun of offline video games and hanging out with some cool peeps.  Mostly been playing boatloads of Terraria though, cause that's the bomb.

Here we've got another backup song because of it, so let's goooo

I heard this song last year when they were running that dope little thing with the music video challenge.  Or maybe it was early this year?  Can't really remember honestly and I don't care to research it.

Anyway though, they handed out a mountain of video footage and this song asking people to throw something together.  Having just obtained some access to Adobe's video software you'd better believe that I signed right up for that.  I didn't end up finishing at all, but that doesn't matter cause it was a blast to play around with.

Also the song is rather enjoyable too, so that's a double win, eh?

Imagine Dragons - Radioactive (remix)

Band:  Imagine Dragons feat. Kendrick Lamar
Genre:  Indie
Language:  Strong

You know what's better than a good original?  A remix that makes it that much better.  I really do love the original of this song, but there's something about the verse Kendrick adds that just makes it better.

Side note, have you heard of Imagine Dragon's new song Believer?  They have a music video for it and everything, but they are also running a contest for it.  If you have access to Adobe Premiere you get to have access to a pile of raw footage from Imagine Dragons to make your own version of the video.  It promises to be a really good time since there's cash prizes.  I'm gonna try for it, so we'll see how well I do.

Side note part 2, I have a Patreon account now!  It's a way for you to donate toward what I do here.  It's not like there's a lot I do here, but it'd be totally great to not have to worry about some things as much, ya feel?

For real though, even if you don't contribute to me you should look into contributing to other great creators, there's a lot of them there and they've got some clutch rewards and way better content than I have.

Imagine Dragons - Demons

Band:  Imagine Dragons
Genre:  Indie Rock

Way back in the day (like 4 years ago or whatever) when Imagine Dragons made their huge smash into the music scene I had a friend who loved them a lot.

Any time I was in her car I heard Radioactive, It's Time, On Top Of The World, and Demons.  Realistically it was mostly It's Time and Radioactive, but that's unimportant to the point I'm making.  The point is that it was honestly a really good album that I mostly enjoyed at the time.

Lil Wayne - Sucker for Pain

Band:  Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa, Imagine Dragons, Logic, X Ambassadors, & Ty Dolla $ign
Genre:  Rap, Hip Hop
Language:  Strong

Ok, I think we can all agree that Suicide Squad was a little disappointing as a movie, but the music from it was pretty good, right?

I mean this song is straight up loaded with mountains of artists on it.  It would make more sense if this was an Imagine Dragons song featuring everybody else, but it's classified as Wayne's song everywhere I'm finding it so there's that.  The dude only has the one verse but for whatever reason they decided to credit him the song.

Heck, if memory serves this may have been one of his first releases since the whole Birdman fiasco.

It's a rather catchy tune though and is my attempt to manage to keep up with the times, ya know?

Imagine Dragons - Radioactive

Band:  Imagine Dragons
Genre:  Indie

We played this last night at EYA in a mildly Metalcore style, but with no screaming.  Sadness.

It was loads of fun though, and to transition into the week of ivil coming up in a couple days I figured we'd break off Rocktober now.  Hope you enjoyed the classic stuff with that Nickelback in the middle.  I'll try to do that again some time.

Here's the song for today though, which is a reasonably good thing that I'm sure you'll like.
