Beatallica - Hella Day For Holiday

Beatallica is a bit of a special thing.  Realistically there's a very low chance of something like a Beatles / Metallica band to work out, but these guys manage to make it work out really well.  The weird blend the get going on is rather beautiful and even though their newer album we a little Metallica heavy it's all good.  Mostly because the singer Jaymz manages to do a knockout impression of old school James Hetfield vocals.

But this is a Christmas album and shall be treated with the same indifference that most Christmas albums from non-Christmas bands should be treated with.  Contempt.  Not really, but it's a basic fact that most Christmas albums are of lower quality than regular stuff.

This is funny though, so I suppose I can get over my prejudice.

Travis Scott - Pick Up The Phone

Language:  Strong

So I'm not really big into Trap music; as a whole it's not really my scene.  That being said however, I do really dig this album.

It's honestly a beautiful piece.  As somebody who's not a huge fan of Travis Scott I'm tempted to say that this may be one of the best albums of 2016.  For real, it's a musically wonderful thing.

I am kinda bummed that he cut the $ out of his name now that Apple Music picked him up, it's kinda disappointing.  Looks like a less ghetto name though, so I suppose that's why he did it.

Phinehas - Forever West

Band:  Phinehas
Genre:  Metalcore

Here's Jeff's all time favorite band it seems.  Fun fact, his band parked right next to them at Creation this year he got to give them a CD.  He was more than a little excited about this and proceeded to geek out on everybody he saw for the next day or two.

They hype around them died down for a while, but then BOOM!  They released (are releasing?) an acoustic album.  Total style switch around, nobody saw it coming.  This song is actually acoustically covered on it, but I decided to grace you with the original because...  It's the original.

Glee - Bye Bye Bye / I Want It That Way

I've never watched an episode of Glee in my life, but thanks to a manager of mine I've listen to a good portion of the soundtrack.  So much so that I'm honestly quite sick of it.  I can't deny that this is a fantastic conglomeration of pop tunes from the bands I can never tell apart however, so here it is.

This is probably the only Glee song I'm ever going to like, but I do rather like it a lot.  It's a really solid blend of two of the big singles of both groups and vocally I thought honestly that it was just a well done edit at first.

Demon Hunter - Infected

I have a friend at work who tells me about all kinds of Rap and Trap music all the time.  For the longest time I thought that was all the music that he listened, but one afternoon I was playing Demon Hunter and he really jammed out to it.  Turns out he's a huge fan, especially of the first album.  Well here's to you Luis, the song you've consistently requested me to play for ya, haha.

Check out OG Demon Hunter, they look like babies.

Black Country Communion - Black Country

Band:  Black Country Communion
Genre:  Blues Rock

If you've ever wanted to hear a rather impressive supergroup then look no further that Black Country Communion.  Joe Bonamassa, Glenn Hughes, Derek Sherinian, and Jason Bonham form one of the few supergroups that aren't drowning in 90s inspired Grungy Rock.  It's honestly rather fantastic since all of these dude's are really amazing musicians it just all flows so well.
Joe Bonamassa is really a fantastic guitarist in everything he touches, but I honestly can't say I really like his voice.  Maybe the only downside to this group.

Tech N9ne - The Beast

So every now and then I really overcommit myself, usually around busy times of the year like now.  It may not seem like it from the type of music I routinely post but I work at a church.  I'm part of our communications team and run production for the Sunday services.  There ya go, fun fact of the day.

I also work in fast food, so all in all I manage about 55 hours a week in regular work.  Not a big deal, I don't really do too much and since I wrecked my car by looking down at the wrong moment I kinda need the cash so it's all good.

I decided to be part of both of our Christmas productions though, which is what's hurting a little.  The first thing, a Radio Theatre style thing, is this Friday and Saturday so no biggie, but then the other is Christmas Eve.

I'm mostly getting by on music and Monster, so yeah.  Good times.
