The main band that got me into Grindcore wasn't even a Grind band at all, it was a Slam Death band called Party Cannon.  I'm sure that came as a shock considering the post is titled that, but whatevs.

The bonus to this delightful little band is that they just put out new material!  This song is like, 3 weeks old?  News to me too honestly, I was ready to pull out a song from the first album that I was a fan of.  This album feels solid though, I dig it.  It's not really a different sound for them, it keeps the same "light hearted" tone with their interlude bits, but the fun Slam Death elements are all still there too.

You can't tell me that this isn't one of the best covers to an album ever.  It's freaking hilarious.

So this is a Slam Death band called Party Cannon (as I'm sure you could figure out) from Scotland.  Their music is so freaking nasty that I couldn't help but put them on the list, ya know?  It's heavy, it's noisy, it's just really great all around.

Hope you like it, but I bet you won't, haha

Devourment - Conceived In Sewage

This one's from my brother.  You know, before we get into the chilax tunes.

He claimed the music video was "funny", but I couldn't find it.  Apparently it was just the band playing in a dark room and a guy with a flashlight and a camera just walked around.  I don't see this as being super funny, but whatever.  The name of the song is what amused me honestly.  I'm a sucker for terrible imagery and this was basically perfect in the realm of "so terrible in can't be true and thus is amusing."

I know you'll hate this, so you don't need to listen, but I promise tomorrow kicks off at least 4 days of mellow tunes.

Side note, Slam Death is like Death Metal but more intense.

Cannibal Corpse - Hammer Smashed Face

So in honor of my band recording this song yesterday I decided to repost a band this soon.

At least I have a new fun fact for ya, right?

In Germany, Cannibal Corpse cannot play anything off of their first 3 albums (this song included) because a teacher saw one of their shirts and freaked out, managing to get the first albums banned.  Ironically, this means they cannot play their song "Born in a Casket" but can still play "Dismembered and Molested" live.  Of the irony.

I hope you enjoy this.  The song is seriously fun to sing and my brother said the guitars were both a joy and a pain.  Just in case you ever decide to play it.
