New Release: War Of Ages - Creator

So last night I was at War Of Ages CD release show.  Freaking bomb show, got kicked in the face and hyperextended my arm a little.  Also got a nifty CD out of it, and was in the new video (maybe)!

All in all it was a really good show.  The music on this album is just so good, I'm really looking forward digging into it more than I have already.  It's a really great musical direction for them to go, it's a really solid sound that I wasn't expecting them to come out with at all.  There's actually some really brutal tracks too.

[Edit 12-31-17:  They've finally put out the video for this one.  My teacher is Leroy's (the singer) sister so she was telling me about the filming of this video.  She did all the blacklight makeup in the video and apparently they were filming till like, 3am.  Good times though, cause it looks really nifty, yeah?]

War Of Ages - All Consuming Fire

A mildly embarrassing story for you guys today.  Back when I used to work in "the hood" I met a lot of interesting people.  There was this one dude who, when I told him I wasn't able to give him any water, had his kid pee on our doorstep.  Good times.

This is a better story though, this is about how I met the singer for War Of Ages and I didn't actually know it at the time.  See, I had just started listening to these guys at the time and wasn't super familiar with what they looked like.  Then these 3 guys walk into the shop, the drummer, guitarist, and singer, and one of them compliments my Skillet shirt.  I proceeded to say I wasn't the biggest fan of them and I prefered heavier stuff.  When they asked who I responded with Demon Hunter or War Of Ages cause I thought the dude was the singer for one of them.  Well Leroy, the singer, proceeded to tell me to swing by Creation (big Christian music fest) that year and see them, and after checking the lineup I managed to figure out who they were.  Good times.

These guys have some sick harmonized leads though and were really impactful to a lot of kids during the time when the Hardcore scene reigned supreme.

War Of Ages - Chaos Theory

I have a lot of fun stories about these guys.  They're from my hometown so there's a couple times I had a chance to meet them.  That alone is a funny story, but instead we're gonna talk about this video, eh?

These guys announced a concert that was to film a video, so obviously Jeff and I were super pumped to attend.  I'm pretty sure I managed to stay out of shot for most of the whole thing, but Jeff is visible around 2:12 as a mess of hair falling backwards.

The best part of this video is my friend Isaiah though.  He's the dude standing next to the singer the entire video and he was so pumped to have made it into the video as much as he did.  Heck, I think he's in the thumbnail too, so he has a right to be ecstatic.
