I've mentioned this before, but I've really developed an appreciation for Hatebreed.  They're not too bad, and they give me that good morning kick in the pants that I sometimes need, ya know?  Hatebreed is just good at giving me that kick, and they're not as hateful as you might think.  At least, if you assume they're a nazi band they aren't hateful in that way.  They may not be super positive, but they aren't racist, so that's good yo.

Hatebreed - Seven Enemies

I mean, for being a band called Hatebreed these guys are actually a reasonably positive force with their message.  From what I've been learning about the whole Hardcore scene though, it's not an uncommon thing.

So there's this band from Erie called xRepresentx that just had their 15 year anniversary show on Saturday.  I went to support a friend of mine who was way into the scene back in the day, and without fail the whole mood of the venue was generally positive.  Sure the pit existed to hurt you and half my friends were swinging fists and throwing kicks, but everybody there was having a great time.  You could tell they all were there for a good time and in solidarity with the whole old scene they were a part of.

So yeah, if I can track down their music I'll be posting them tomorrow.

Something I hadn't anticipated doing was enjoying Hatebreed.  There's not really a reason for me to not have checked them out, I guess I just assumed I wouldn't like them.  Honestly that's weird too since I really loved Jamey Jasta's part in that one 5FDP song, the fact it took me this long to actually take time to listen to a lot of the band's songs is ridicules.

I probably said a lot of this stuff last time I posted them, so I'll drop a story I just learned about recently.

Hatebreed was classified by CNN a while ago as a white supremacist band.  This is untrue, and the band and fans reacted rather poorly to the claim that they were racist.  CNN apologized later and took them off the list they had made, but come on, you're an international news agency, do some research.  They really don't do well with details though, as highlighted in their 2014 segment which talked about "the hacker known as 4chan".

I hadn't really listened to Hatebreed ever for ages.  I had kinda wanted to look into them, but for some reason I never actually got around to listening to them at all.  I really enjoyed Jamey Jasta's voice on the one 5FDP song he was a part of, but for whatever reason I hadn't managed to convince myself to actually do it.

Well I finally listened to them since my friend told me a specific album.  I have to say, I'm rather happy with what I've listened to.  It's really solid music that's mostly exactly what I'm looking for in a Nu-Metal song.
