Waka Flocka Flame - Bustin' At 'Em

Artist:  Waka Flocka Flame
Song:  Bustin' At 'Em
Album:  Flockaveli
Genre:  Rap
Language:  Strong

Whenever I want to just listen to music that's not too great but also really pumps me up I have to go to Waka Flocka.  His music is simple enough for anybody to kinda groove to, while also being needlessly violent enough to help raise the tension of the situation and get pumped.  Dude has some solid tunes for stuff like that, can't deny that.

Turns out though that even when he's not just shouting his own name he's actually a really solid rapper.  Like, people give him crap, but the dude has a really solid freestyle.  There's a lot of rappers that will rap a more polished song as their standard piece but totally freeze when it comes to stuff like that, but Waka managed it alright.  Pretty cool eh?

Waka Flocka Flame - No Hands

Artist:  Waka Flocka Flame ft. Wale & Roscoe Dash
Genre:  Rap
Language:  Strong

So I figured I'd hit Waka Flocka after Cover Week cause I was reminded of him recently.

So obviously I wasn't shot at the Chief Keef show.  In fact, Keef was so late that I bailed before he showed up.  I waited from 9:50 to 11:15 and he didn't even show till at least 12:30.  Sheesh.

His opening group did show though, and after 3 terrible local acts we got who he's actually touring with.  Long story short the main guy of the trio made me think of Waka Flocka.

And here's Waka Flocka, the original angry shouting thug!  My friend Luis was telling me that this song was really vibing with the street back when he lived in the Bronx, so that tote's means it's for real.

MGK - Wild Boy

Artist:  MGK (Machine Gun Kelly) feat. Waka Flocka Flame
Genre:  Rap, Hip Hop
Language:  Strong

This video has such a fantastic intro.  Honestly I feel like these guys are probably funny people, they just don't get the chance to be too often.

MGK's album Lace Up was a really solid release.  Basically every song was worthy of being a single of some sort, even if it was a second string single.

I love this song though cause it just helps pump me up.  We used to play it at work when we were closing so I associate it with moving quickly and as efficiently as possible, ya know?

Solid tune though and I freaking love Waka Flocka's line, so enjoy.
