Future - Low Life

Artist:  Future feat. The Weeknd
Genre:  Trap, Rap
Language:  Strong

Probably the only song to hold the spot of favorite for a solid 3 months, Low Life is a great song.  This is one of the two songs that inspired me to do this week at all actually

The song isn't exactly sad so much as just dark.  The bass helps bring the whole thing down really hard right from the get go.  When it lifts for The Weeknd's verse it's almost like it highlights what he's saying more.  The whole song is generally drugged out and sad, hence it's holding place near the end of the list.

I feel like I might have said this about other stuff, but I think this song was the best thing to come out of the Rap scene in 2016 possible.

The Weeknd - False Alarm

Artist:  The Weeknd
Genre:  PBR&B

A really love this dude's voice.  And I'm really sorry that I've been late with posts this last week, I'm working on it.

There's 2 videos here because one warned about graphic content and violence, so there's an audio only one underneath the music video.  Enjoy!

The Weeknd - Starboy

Artist:  The Weeknd feat. Daft Punk
Genre:  R&B
Language:  Strong

I'm rather happy with the new songs that The Weeknd has put out so far.  False Alarm is a cool deviation from what I would have expected, but since I'm going for a more reaching post here I'm gonna post the more popular song for now.

Hey, instead of talking about this though we're gonna talk about the last week of October.

Got a 2 year tradition going of having it be the "Week Of Evil" and I don't plan on changing anything anytime soon.

Long story short I'm willing to take some suggestions for it.  I've got a couple days still open that I haven't planned for yet, so fire away either in the comment section or on Facebook.

Cool, catch ya.

The Weeknd - In The Night

Artist:  The Weeknd
Genre:  R&B, PBR&B
Theme:  Victim of child abuse living her life out as a stripper

Hey look, it's the man with the weird hair again!

So I always try to check Wiki for certain artists to make sure I get their genre right.  Usually I'm good, but when it comes to non Metal genres I get a little shaky.  Apparently PBR&B is a joke on Pabts Blue Ribbon and the hipsterness of it.  PBR&B is hipster R&B.  I don't know for sure about this, but It's what Wiki said and I suppose I can trust it for now.

This song is really good though don't be scared away by the subject.  It's musically a tribute to Michael Jackson and lyrically it's been speculated that it's a song about Marilyn Monroe.

The Weeknd - The Hills

Artist:  The Weeknd
Genre:  R&B, Rap
Language:  Strong
Themes:  Drugs and stuff

Sorry for being late guys, as you might have seen in my picture I'm a little wiped out this week.  Had a lot of stuff happening yesterday and I forgot to write a post.

So a guy at work noticed that I seem to be on a rap kick recently as opposed to the metal thing I usually do and he gave me a list of songs.  This was the first thing he gave me and I think it's really catchy so I'm sharing it with you.  Hope you enjoy it!

Side not, the song has great bass so you want either good speakers or headphones to listen properly.
