Either way, here's one of the most classic songs they put out.  I hope it bugs you, cause I'm not super pumped about the string of music that might be coming soon, haha

I'm actually really mad at myself for liking Steel Panther.  Like, really mad at myself.

Not mad enough to not enjoy it though, so let's kick it with the most lewd rock band I've ever listened to.

I've got this soft spot for 80s Hair Metal, but honestly I don't like many of the bands of the era.  My issue always was they didn't really hold my attention.  Imma be honest, a lot of that was because of the production.  It's a picky thing to say, but I really love well produced music and a lot of bands of the era didn't have access to what they needed to really sound great.

Also there's the fact that Steel Panther sings exclusively about sex, drugs, and Rock 'n Roll.  That's dope.

A to Z 2K17: Q is for Quiet Riot

I was so torn between picking some sort of 4/20 joke or just going with a Throwback Thursday, and while I probably could have managed both I don't think I could do it with Q day, so here's a throwback instead.

Quiet Riot was mostly a 1 to 3 hit wonder, tops.  They were pretty popular in their community at the time, but the rest of the world was kinda ignoring them.

Then even their fans managed to ditch them too when the singer started heavily alienating the whole fanbase.  Here's a word of advice, you're never too big to fall, and especially in the music side of things you gotta fight to stay relevant.  Don't piss off your fans.

A to Z 2K17 Runner Up: Bride

You know how 80s Metal was kinda its own thing that stayed to itself for the most part?  Well there was a Christian subgenre of that as well, and it was terribly wonderful.

While a lot of people are familiar with Stryper and Petra (considered Metal by some uninformed people I know), not as many knew about Bride.  In fact I only know of a couple people who are familiar with them.

They are good though if that's the kind of music you like.  As far as the good old Hair Metal sound goes you don't have too look to hard to find that 90% of the bands are straight trash.  Just don't even bother.  But these guys were a good time, and most of their albums were pretty nice too.
