Soulfly - Eye For An Eye

I was originally going to write about a different band today, but I ended up getting in a car accident and ran out of time to actually listen to them enough to justify posting them today. Here's Soulfly instead.

Soulfly is Brazilian Nu-Metal with an intense political twist to it. Max Cavalera is kinda like that honestly.

The music is reasonably solid though and has elements of a latin thing going on kinda like Ill Nino. I really enjoy when people mix styles that "don't belong together" because that's where Rap Metal and Symphonic Metal came from. It's always a good time.

Soulfly - Umbabrauma

Ok, this remix week is getting old and it made me late with today's post. Not cool.

We need some Nu-Metal to get out of this, and who better that Soulfly?

Soulfly is a band from Phoenix and released their first album in 1998. For Nu-Metal this puts them kinda right in the beginning middle and as is typical of the genre, it's kinda all the same sounding to a certain point.

The lyrics are half in Spanish and half in English, and they are usually very politically charged. Still good music though, even though it has a giant opinion.

What I'm about

I am Noah, king of casual english; One of those bloggers that just doesn't know how to string a proper sentence together to save his life. I really apologize for those of you that will hate that, apparently my honors in english just didn't stick.

I like everything from Satanic Thrash to Top 40s trash, so I'll probably hit on at least one song that you like someday.

Let's be real though, my main pull is Death Metal and Rap, so you'll see a decent amount of that since those are the two industries I mainly follow.

Schedule and Stuff

The posts go live at 12 am EST. If they don't, I probably wrote them the night before and fell asleep before actually clicking on the publish button. It's all good though.

Music wise I mostly pull from what I like. I'm totally open to suggestions in the comments, so if there's some genre you want to hear more of just let me know and I'll do what I can.

Some of this music might be offensive to you. Apologies, but it'll probably happen. Heck, 6 or 7 years ago I'd probably be appalled at what I'm listening to nowadays, haha

I'll try to always tag for language if the song has it though, so you can at least make sure not to listen to if around younger ears if that's something that concerns you.
