Queen - We Will Rock You

Band:  Queen
Song:  We Will Rock You
Album:  News Of The World (1977)
Genre:  Classic Rock

So here's how this mini theme is gonna go.  During the week (Monday through Friday) I'm gonna post some of my earlier music interests.  We'll start out with my original jams from when I got my first MP3 that held a whole 415MB of music, and we'll go to the point I got my second iPod.  It's gonna be a trip, and I'm gonna d my best to explain what the music meant to me or at least what I got out of it.

With that, we'll hit Queen.

All the music I started with was from my parents.  All I knew for sure that I liked was classical music.  I had a radio pen that came tuned into some classical station and I kinda stayed there.  When I switched to my MP3 player though I needed some tunes, so I asked my parents to provide some for me, ya know?

So my mom and dad each gave me the same selection they gave my brother.  This is one of the ones from my mom I think.  This song helped me realize I wanted something heavier in the music realm.  The stomps, claps, and gang singing got me pumped up in the same kind of way Metal does.  This wasn't one of the songs that sent me tipping in that direction though, we'll get there soon.

Reflections 2016: Queen - We Are The Champions

Band:  Queen
Genre:  Classic Rock

We're gonna do a lovely thing here where I ramble about how I bumbled my way through another year of the A to Z.

I managed to not have the time to visit almost anybody's blog this year.  It really bummed me out actually cause I really liked the visiting aspect of last year's adventure.

Post wise though I feel like I'm a better writer than I was last year.  Yeah, my grammar sucks.  Yeah, my punctuation sucks.  Yeah, these short little sentences suck.  It's the way I talk, I was never really good with writing.  My bad.

Theme wise I liked this year's theme of going with a band and a music video as opposed to the albums from last year.  I think  it was a better idea that was more streamlined in its execution.

Honestly though I already blog every day.  Daily blogging is something I'm used to so the hardest part of the challenge was actually managing to keep it all in order.  I ended up keeping a running list of all the stuff I wanted to post but couldn't cause it didn't fit the theme.  That would be a load of Death Metal, Rap, and a few album reviews if you're interested.  Soon........

I've gotta go though, I'm writing this on 4 hours of sleep rom the show on Sunday and I have to be up in 5 hours.  Still though, thanks for reading and if you visited, thanks for visiting.  I'll still be here, so swing by again some time, eh?

EDIT 5-9-16:  Well dang, this sounds so much weirder reading it again.  I don't really know what I was thinking trying to write this at like, 11:30 at night instead of earlier in the day, but I suppose that really manages to sum up how I had been managing from the rest of the A to Z as well.

Congrats to all else who made it by the way, forgot to say that.  Cheers!

Queen - Bicycle Race

Band:  Queen
Genre:  Rock

Queen is a band that I know you've heard of.  The only question really is have you heard more than their radio hits?

No.  I have not.

All I've heard is the stuff off of the greatest hits album and I really feel bad about that.  Nothing much to be done though, so do enjoy.

Sorry for this being a late post, I've had an album review I've been trying to finish but I keep getting distracted.

A to Z Challenge: Q is for... Queen

I'm just gonna lay this out there, I don't listen to almost any Queen.  Seriously, it's just not a band I ever got in to.  What kinda sucks though is that there's only about 17 albums ever to be released with a "Q" title, and I don't listen to The Who either, who are the other band I recognized.

Yep, this kinda sucks.

Enjoy the first Queen album, known as "Queen" and was released in 1973.

Freddie Mercury was the singer, he had fantastic range.  Brian May was one of the guitarists.  He had good tone.

That's all I've got, sorry.
