You know what's fun about this song? In the middle area there a line that says "even when it hurts like hell".
For a worship song that's kinda a big deal. That's like, borderline swearing, ya know? And you can surely believe the mild uproar that happened then. Ok, maybe not a huge uproar since it's a pretty small group of people that would be paying attention, but I managed to hear about it, so somebody must have been annoyed.
I dunno, I feel like this sums things up better than frilly language songs. Sometimes things do hurt that bad and there's only a couple ways to put it.
