One of the things I love about people is how quickly terrible things are romanticized.

Let's take Pac for example.  The dude was a violent individual.  Sure he may have had some good messages in some of his songs, but that doesn't excuse the crime and everything he was a part of, ya know?  Gang life, songs that promoted violence and all that.

But he's mostly gonna be remembered as another rapper who fought for equality with his music.  Cause after somebody dies it's like the whole world looks at them with rose tinted glasses, ya feel?

I don't begrudge him that by any means.  I just feel it's good to try and remember everything about a person instead of just the bright spots.

Tupac - Soldier Like Me

I only recently started listening to some Tupac (2pac?) after hearing he was on the official Vatican Myspace page.  I enjoyed his stuff well enough, but as it is with most artists who die it's nearly impossible to find their normal music if you're just browsing.  While just browsing I managed to find this song with Eminem, which made me reasonably happy since I like his stuff.  All in all, this is a really solid track.
