I tend to ignore most of the bands that came out of the Grunge era as a general rule of thumb. They aren't usually too great, and searching through them to find the good stuff is a pain.
Looking for one of the bigger ones is a generally good bet though, which is mostly how I'm familiar with these guys. I've heard my dad playing their music around for a little while so I thought I may as well intersperse my usually undesirable to many people choice of music with stuff a lot more people enjoy.
